Thanking the search committee for their input and willingness to be a part of the process of choosing a new educational leader for Paul R. Baird Middle School, Superintendent Todd Gazda is pleased to announce that Mrs. Stacy Monette has been chosen as the new principal. Dr. Gazda stated that Monette was chosen from a field of 42 candidates.

Speaking about the selection, Gazda enthusiastically commented, “Mrs. Monette has 8 years of middle school teaching experience and 9 years as a middle school assistant principal in Belchertown. It is my belief that her years of middle school teaching and administrative experience coupled with her energy, enthusiasm and dedication to the profession make her the ideal person to lead our Middle School. I am excited to welcome her aboard.”

"I am honored and grateful to have been chosen as the new principal of Baird Middle School," shared Monette.  "I have watched the Ludlow Public Schools continue to grow over the past few years, in a very positive direction, and I am excited to be a part of it. Middle school has been my passion for the last 17 years and I look forward to sharing that passion at Baird, for many years to come."

Monette replaces Joseph Langone who left to accept a position as the principal at the Westfield Technical Academy.  Monette’s first day as the new educational leader at Paul R. Baird Middle School will be August 29th
